Saving our Members Money After Criminal Trial

The Service has refused to pay the legal fee indemnification for one of our members who has been found not guilty in court at a criminal proceeding against him. The CPA has argued that past practice dictates these fees be paid immediately, as does the language contained in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The CPA is currently at step 3 in the grievance process.
