The Calgary Police Association

The Calgary Police Association is a professional police labour relations organization dedicated to providing quality support service for its MembersThe CPA actively pursues positive change for the employment and professional interests of its members, and defends those same interests. It sets clear objectives based on our role as a labor union and is creative and innovative in making and carrying out initiatives to achieve these goals.

Through appropriate business processes and methods, the CPA seeks to operate effectively, efficiently and with impact. We at the CPA strive to conduct our objectives with prudent financial accounting.


We conduct collective bargaining agreements between the Association and the City of Calgary, which include salary and employment conditions.


We are responsible for filing, on behalf of the member, any breaches of the Collective Agreement and advancing the grievance.


We assist and provide guidance to those members that have been alleged to have contravened any provision of the Police Service Regulation.

Legal Counsel

We provide guidance and legal counsel to those members that have been alleged to have committed a Criminal Offence while in the execution of their lawful duties as a Police Officer.

Charity Funds

We maintain charitable funds which include bursaries for children of members entering a recognized post-secondary institution.

Social Events

We organize family related functions to promote the social well-being of the members.
